Speaker Bio
Samantha R. Divine, Esq. is an attorney, author, and strategist. At her core, she is still the little girl who loves learning and coming home to teach her dolls everything she learned that day on a blackboard. Today, that same instinct drives her work helping professionals avoid spending years learning lessons they should never have had to learn alone.
She formerly served on the Pennsylvania Governor’s Judicial Advisory Commission. Her writings have been published by the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), the Inns of Court, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. She has presented at TEDx (Geisinger School of Medicine), The Coca-Cola Company, the PBA, the Pennsylvania Office of General Counsel, American Association of University Women (Carlisle, PA), Pennsylvania Bar Institute Health Law Institute, and at firms and numerous institutions of higher education. Through her work, Samantha explores professional drift, mentoring ecosystems, leadership development, and intentional career design within the legal profession. She challenges professionals and institutions alike to rethink mentoring not as a program to administer, but as developmental infrastructure that shapes advancement, sustainability, professional identity, and long-term fulfillment.
Drawing from experience across law, banking, government, nonprofit leadership, and institutional advisory work, Samantha brings a cross-sector perspective to lawyer development and professional longevity. Her work is grounded in the belief that while lawyers are trained extensively to achieve, they are not taught how to intentionally build sustainable careers, fulfilling lives, and professional identities that remain meaningful over time.
Samantha is the author of The Law Mentee Guide: Master Your Mentoring Relationships. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Legal Career Transitions Committee and previously served on a Pennsylvania Governor’s Judicial Advisory Commission. Born in Liberia, West Africa, she relocated to America to escape the Liberian Civil Wars and is the proud mother of two daughters.
